★THROWBACK THURSDAYS★ Cranberry Inn by Beth Ehemann

Hey guys! I thought I would introduce a new feature!
Every thursdays, I’m going to talk about the book I was reading last year at the same date!  I’ll add for the fun, a nice vintage and completely random picture. (You know how I love the vintage commercials, and the funniest the better!)
I would love for you to play along and share in the comments which book you were reading same time, last year! Would you re-read it? Have your tastes evolved since? Or was it an all time favorite? Tell me all about it in the comments section at the end of this post, 🙂

Last year I was reading...

91yZA3+XyoL._SL1500_Four years ago, my dreams were shattered in an instant.
I tried to pick up the pieces and glue them back together the best I knew how, but something was always missing.
A father for my two girls.
But then, Brody Murphy landed on my doorstep, literally. He was a carefree, playful hockey player who barged into my life and messed with my head. He left me more confused than I had ever been.
What if the one thing I thought I needed was the only thing holding me back?

Three months ago, I found something I haven’t had in years.
Hope
That hope came in the form of a sexy, carefree hockey player named Brody Murphy. He swooped in and won me over with his big heart and the way he cared for me…and my girls. When they look at him, they see the father they’ve never had.
Now, my past and present are colliding and the outcome might just be too much for me to bear. Can I make the right decision when I’ve spent my whole life making the wrong ones?

Beth Ehemann was a real surprise for me last year. I don’t remember what made me pick up Room for More then, but I’m glad I did!
I’m really a sucker for second chance at love romances, and this one did not disappoint. The writing was charming and the character development pretty good for a first book! It was a sweet and lovely tale between Kacie, a young single mom with 2 little girls, and Brody, untamable hockey player. Yes the plot was predictable, yes there were some clichés, but it wasn’t cheesy. I thought the author did a good job with the romance, keeping the angst low and managing to include both little girls into the story, not feeling like they were just a “filler” for the book.

Room for More was just as good as the first book, except maybe for that tiny bit of extra angst. I was glad to see Kacie and Brody finally get their HEA, but not sure this needed to be overstretched. Also another character from this book really picked my interest, and I’m really happy that Beth Ehemann gave Viper his own story. (Cement Heart, released last month)
