My rating

It can’t be easy writing a novella that packs as much punch as a complete novel. Nevertheless, Whitney G delivered the perfect short story here if you are in the mood for something light fun with a healthy dose of sexy. I loved Dirty Doctor!

Book Infos

C6COpq0UsAAKcNnBeing a doctor in New York City has never been easy. Especially for someone like me who has a private practice and an incompetent staff who insists on leaving me to fill in for them.

Over the past six months, I’ve performed one too many pap smears, three too many “breast exams,” and scrubbed in on several reconstructive surgeries. (This would be acceptable if I was still interested in general medicine, but I’m not. I’m supposed to be a goddamn therapist…)

When my team finally came to their senses and decided to bring someone more competent into the practice last month, I was actually elated.

Until I realized that our new “doctor” was none other than the woman I was supposed to meet over dinner two weeks ago. The same woman who stood me up with nothing more than an “I can’t meet you anymore, sorry,” after we agreed to move our online talks into reality.

I haven’t forgotten any of the filthy fantasies she told me about, and I never deleted our dirty messages. And if she thinks that I’m going to act like a “professional” and pretend like that shit never happened, she has another thing coming…

My Review

So here’s the deal. I’ve always been wary of any kind of “medical romances“. If there’s a doctor involved, a nurse, some kind of kink involving fantasies to one or another I would just ignore the book.

Why? Let’s just say that I’ve been one time too many at doctors and hospitals and I just can’t even with anything “medical” anymore. This applies to TV shows as well, I used to be crazy about Grey’s Anatomy, ER and the likes but now?
Now if 5 years can pass without me seeing a white doctor’s coat or the end of a stethoscope it’ll still be too early. Got my drift?

So when I received this book in my inbox a few days ago and although I knew Whitney G had a Dirty Doctor coming, I had absolutely no intention of reading it.

DirtyDoctor_alleskelle_cast2Until last Sunday night 2 AM.
And let’s blame my sleep deprived state, or actually let’s be thankful that I had just finished a book and found myself bookless right before sleep. If you are a book addict like me, you know this won’t do. You need at least a chapter or two to be able to sleep, right?
Browsing my Kindle I accidentally tapped Dirty Doctor, and literally couldn’t stop reading once I’d started it.

Whitney G‘s writing as usual, compelled me to read, and the characters dual POV pulled me in instantly, then 3 AM started rolling, and I’ve found myself enjoying this novella in one sitting ( alright I was laying in bed, so what? ).

I loved everything about it. The cheeky and smart heroine was a real treat, Dr Ashton was as you can expect, insanely hot both in looks and attitude, and I adored the witty banter between these two. Especially the text messaging parts.

The author warned about this novella having no plot and only smut, and I’d like to disagree, only Whitney G could manage to deliver the perfect blend of wicked, sexy and sweet in so little pages. The storyline with a hint of forbidden relationship providing just enough tension between the characters  to keep things interesting with very little angst. She leaves you wanting for more and parts with a delightful sweet HEA.

Doctors aren’t supposed to be this sexy… There’s no way this man is a ‘real’ doctor.

This was a really sexy and fun read, and I couldn’t have chosen a better time to read it. It eased me  to sleep in the nicest way, having sexy thoughts about a smoking hot Doctor.
Dirty Doctor is a perfect inclusion to Whitney G‘s Steamy Coffee Reads Collection, and if you haven’t already, I can only urge you to read Naughty Boss, which was as delicious and flirty as Dirty Doctor.
