Here’s a list to please your inner groupie. Don’t deny it, you’d follow the following Rock Gods anywhere. Rock on!
In this powerful debut novel, a young librarian grieves the loss of her husband…and discovers a love that defies classification.
It’s been over three years since a train accident made a widow of Katrina Lewis, sending her and her young daughter Abbey back to the suburban town of her youth…the only place that still makes sense. Lauder Lake is the perfect place to hide and heal.
Recluse rocker Adrian “Digger” Graves survived the implosion of his music career, but his muse has long lain dormant. Until Kat hires him to play at her library—not on the basis of his hard rock credentials but rather, because of the obscure kids’ TV jingle he wrote years ago. In a case of mistaken identity, Adrian stumbles into the lives of Kat and her comically lovable daughter.
Using tattoos as a timeline, Adrian unfurls his life for Kat. But as the courtship intensifies, it’s unclear whose past looms larger: the widow’s or the rocker’s. Will their demons ever rest, or will they break these soul mates apart?
One of my favorite books for 2013, easily on my Top Ten shelf, and that’s saying a lot as I read around 500 books that year. Kat and Adrian story will forever stay in my mind. This was one of the best second chance at love I have ever read. Fantastic and passionate writing, this is a MUST READ!
Written in her wonderfully honest, edgy, passionate and often hilarious voice, Tiffanie DeBartolo tells the story of Eliza Caelum, a young music journalist, and Paul Hudson, a talented songwriter and lead singer of the band Bananafish. Eliza’s reverence for rock is equaled only by Paul’s, and the two fall wildly in love.
When Bananafish is signed by a big corporate label, and Paul is on his way to becoming a major rock star, Eliza must make a heartbreaking decision that leads to Paul’s sudden disappearance and a surprise knock-your-socks-off ending.
My favorite book featuring a musician! Maybe along with Louder than Love. This story was fascinating, enthralling and a heartbreaking tale. Un-put-dow-able!
Five stunning guys, one hot woman, and a feverish romance…
For him, life is all music and no play…When Brian Sinclair, lead songwriter and guitarist of the hottest metal band on the scene, loses his creative spark, it will take nights of downright sinful passion to release his pent-up genius…
She’s the one to call the tune…
When sexy psychologist Myrna Evans goes on tour with the Sinners, every boy in the band tries to seduce her. But Brian is the only one she wants to get her hands on…
Then the two lovers’ wildly shocking behavior sparks the whole band to new heights of glory…and sin…
Okay. This book is not to put into every hands. When I stumbled upon this back in 2013, I was very new to the erotica genre, and couldn’t believe what I was reading. This books is hot, downright filthy, racy, and every other words you’d think of to describe the unthinkable things this book is filled with. Beware of Myrna the sexy professor and Brian the incarnation of a Rock God. This book is not to be read in public! (unless you have a perfect straight face.)
Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.
Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.
One thing is certain, being married to one of the hottest rock stars on the planet is sure to be a wild ride.
This book apparently no different than the other Vegas tropes’ books out there just proved me how wrong my first assumption was! It was sexy, heartwarming, fun and really well executed! Kylie Scott intelligently intertwined a “What happend in Vegas” and a “Cinderella meets a Rock God” story lines. And you know what? It worked! You ought to meet David Ferris and his band… You know you want to!
Mia Kelly thinks she has it all figured out. She’s an Ivy League graduate, a classically trained pianist, and the beloved daughter of a sensible mother and offbeat father. Yet Mia has been stalling since graduation, torn between putting her business degree to use and exploring music, her true love.
When her father unexpectedly dies, she decides to pick up the threads of his life while she figures out her own. Uprooting herself from Ann Arbor to New York City, Mia takes over her father’s café, a treasured neighborhood institution that plays host to undiscovered musicians and artists. She’s denied herself the thrilling and unpredictable life of a musician, but a chance encounter with Will, a sweet, gorgeous, and charming guitarist, offers her a glimpse of what could be. When Will becomes her friend and then her roommate, she does everything in her power to suppress her passions—for him, for music—but her father’s legacy slowly opens her heart to the possibility of something more.
Sweet Thing was an unexpected find and I’m glad I had the chance to read it. This story was refreshing, sweet, sexy romance, enveloped in music references. I loved the slow building of Mia and Will’s relationship, the genuine friendship first, the complicity and care they grew one toward another and the blossoming of their love and passion. This one stands firmly on my best reads of 2013, as I am very fond of “Friends to Lovers” story lines. I can almost guarantee you won’t be able to put the book back once you read its intriguing prologue!
They meet by chance. The timing is wrong.
Three years later, she finds him again, but their separation was poisoned with narcotics and bloodied by enslavement.
Her freedom gambled away, Charlee Grosky escapes the international businessman who held her captive. But his power reaches beyond her protective barriers and threatens everyone she has come to love.
Jay Mayard wears his tortured secrets under his rock god facade. Drugs are his release, even as he seeks to be the man forged of the steel only she can see.
In a celebrity world filled with paparazzi, groupies, and drugs, Jay and Charlee must face their worst fears. When the battle is over, what will be left…Beneath The Burn.
I did not expect this level of grit when I first picked Beneath the Burn! It was AMAZING, SCARY, FUCKEP UP and INTENSE.
This book had my head spinning and kept me on my toes all through Charlee and Jay’s aventures. You definitely meet the Rockstar epitome here, with Jay, drug addict, self destructive, sex addict. But there is SO much more to this story. Something really dark lurks around the corner and you better get a hold of yourself. This story definitely isn’t for the faint of heart. I am not a fan of Dark Romance, but this was literally enthralling. The writing and story telling alone is worth reading this book!
Two damaged souls bound by a traumatizing experience and forever forged in fire.
List in progress, more to come soon!
