MY RATING
First time reading this author and it won’t be the last! If you are in the mood for an easy and steamy contemporary romance, then look no further, this book is for you! (Cash can be read as a standalone.)
The minute any woman walks into my bar, I can tell two things about her: what she wants to drink, and how she likes to f*ck.
I’m Cash: bartender at the hottest bar in Atlanta. I’ve got girls lining up around the block, and they all know the rules: no strings, no promises, and no morning-after snuggling. You want brunch? Call your sister. You want the best sex of your life? Call me. Or better yet, just drop by the bar anytime. Clothing optional.
There’s a reason they call me a sexy bastard.
And yes, I really am that good.

Cash is certainly not Mr. Right, but hell if I don’t want him to be Mr. Right Now.
That’s it. Throwing caution to the wind, I lean into him and kiss him right on the lips.
He tastes like champagne and mint. It’s a quick kiss. I draw away much sooner than I would like, but it’s just as good the second time around. It clouds my head, and for the first time in forever I don’t care about my job or promotion.
Staring into my eyes, he tucks my hair behind my ear and with both hands grasping my face kisses me harder, rougher. It’s a wake-up call for my body. Every nerve’s cell tunes in to see what his hands will do next. Logically, I should stop and thank Cash for the rescue and tell him this can’t go any further, but the pleasure pooling between my legs says keep this fucking going. I thread my fingers into his hair and pull him closer.
Damn. Cash wasn’t lying. His mouth is magic. Until he pulls away. Again.
Again. I let out a noise of frustration and he chuckles.
“Easy there, sweetheart.”
“We were just getting to the good part,” I grab his shirt again, but he backs off.
“Trust me, this isn’t the good part. But I’m saving that until you’re sober.”
“I’m fine!” I protest, my blood still singing from the kiss. I want him. Now.
Cash shakes his head. “Let me put it like this.” He traces a slow, burning path up the side of my bare arm, until I swear I’m panting. “If you fuck me tonight, it’ll be about him. And when I take you – because sweetheart, you best believe, I’m going to be the one doing the taking – I’m going to be the only one on your mind. Until you can’t manage a single thought, other than ‘yes, Cash. More, Cash.’ Understand?”
Goddamn.
I nod, slowly, because I don’t have a choice. Then Cash stands, and offers me his arm. Chivalrous, like he just didn’t promise to fuck my brains out. “Now, let’s get you home.”
I truly enjoyed “Cash” by Eve Jagger but I need to say that it wasn’t what I was expecting at all! This little book right here illustrates perfectly how a cover can be misleading. In this case, I’ve bargained so much more than what I thought I had signed up for!
I was expecting quick steamy smut.
What?
You saw that cover, right? You’ve read the blurb too?
Then you know exactly what I’m talking about.
What I had was a really nice contemporary romance with smoking hot action in the bedroom. Level of steam : high.
Cash is the attraction of one of the best bars in Atlanta and he knows it. Women are literally throwing themselves at him, hoping to spend the night in his talented bartender—sorry, “Mixologist” hands. And if the rumors are true the man should also have a very talented tongue.
I’ll be forced to intervene on your pussy’s behalf.
He’s also part owner of several others bars in Atlanta with a few of his friends and a damn successful business man.
Savannah is a successful and driven lawyer, she lives for the job and is on her way to make partner at her firm. Unfortunately her skills and prowess at the bar are not translating in her personal life. Her love life is almost inexistent and her attempts at dating always solving by epic fails.
You know Savy, if you ever need to relieve that stress, all yo uhave to do is ask. I promise by time I’m done with you, you’ll come so hard you’ll be grateful for asking.
Cash and Savy both have an unrevealed attraction for each other, but Savvy knows all about his manwhore ways and wants more than just a quick fuck. She needs a partner, she wants a real relationship. As easy and tempting the sexy bartender she’s been friend with is, she just can’t give in.
Well, the thing is, I think he is a big talker. I’m not sure his moves can live up to his mouth.
I enjoyed Cash and Savy casual friendship and I loved seeing them trying with all their might to resist each other. This was the perfect friends to lovers, hate to love you mix with a really nice background.
Cash has some minor family drama going on, adding a welcomed depth to his character. I was also surprised to discover an actual good guy, despite his debauched lifestyle (of last) he was really an interesting character.
Damn cash wasn’t lying. His mouth is magic.
Their bantering and bickering really hooked me in, and their evident chemistry made for some smoking hot sex scenes.
Eve Jagger crafted a truly captivating story here, with interesting secondary characters, great chemistry and descriptive sex scenes that more than satisfied my inner perv. I’ve read this book in almost one sitting and will definitely looking forward to read the next book in this series. Hoping to read more about the mysterious Knox…
Eve Jagger is a native of Georgia and is a true southern girl at heart. A stay at home mom to two kids, she’s married to a sexy man who doesn’t mind being used as research for those naughty scenes.
Eve cut her teeth writing in high school and college, but it wasn’t until recently that she got the itch to write a full length novel. She loves complex, emotionally-charged characters and wild, sexy leading men. Hard: A Sexy Bastard Book releases at the end of April 2015 and she can’t wait for you to meet her characters that occupy her mind 24/7!
I like drinking light cocktails.
Great review. My drink of choice is always apple martini. 🙂

Hoping December! Did you read Hard? Ryder and Cassie’s book?
Eve Jagger Not yet! I literally stumbled upon a friend lusting on Cash’ cover. So I jumped on it as well! I’ll definitely read Ryder’ story in the mean time! xx
