★THROWBACK THURSDAYS★ Strangers by Barbara Elsborg

It’s Thursday! Let’s go back in time a little, would you?
Every once in a while I can count on awesome book friends to help discover new authors. A year ago and thanks to Lana from Dirty Girl Romance Blog I was discovering Barbara Elsborg. So thanks Lana, for sending great book recommendations for over 2 years now!
Although ‘Strangers’ didn’t completely won me over, I’ve since read great stories from Miss Elsborg.
I would love for you to play along and share in the comments which book you were reading same time, last year!
Would you re-read it? Have your tastes evolved since? Or was it an all time favorite?
Do you have trustee friends you can count on regarding books recs?

Last year I was reading...

8735916Kate Snow’s had enough of bad boys until a one-way swim in the ocean puts her on a collision course with a man she can’t resist.
Charlie Storm has turned being a bad boy into an art form. Already a famous pop star, mega-success in the movie business beckons until his inner demons send him spiraling out of control and right out to sea.
The last thing he expects to do before he dies is crash into a suicidal woman. When the worlds of these two strangers collide, their lives take an upward twist.
In surviving the waves, they find they can’t stand to be apart, in or out of bed. Kate seizes a chance for happiness, seeing in Charlie a man she can finally trust to love her. Charlie can’t let go of Kate because she’s the only woman able to see the man he wants to be.
But the price of fame is high and when the world wants to drive them apart, life only seems safe in Kate’s bed.

Charlie and Kate both meet at a turning point of their lives, they are both damaged in some way and meet under rather strange and unheard before circumstances, the day of their suicide.
I loved the easy banter and bickering,  the characters’ development making me want to know more about these “strangers” and their growing love .Sometimes along the way their new friendship turns up to be more and misunderstandings led both heroes into a downwarding spiral of drama… I felt a little lost then and disinterest me to what would happen to the heroine… While Strangers wasn’t a complete success for me, I liked the author’s storytelling and original ideas and i’m on the look out for her every new book release. 😉
