This is the pinnacle of desperate attraction. This is the chemical reaction that ignores and burns until there’s nothing left but ash.
Rian is this chick who keeps her heart in an emotion Ft Knox..bc reasons. Along comes Pierce – this dude who seems like a cocky, playboy. But that could totally be Rian leaping to some big ridiculous assumptions. Ryan feels like maybe Pierce is safe for her heart bc she dismisses who he is. Of course they both unnecessarily keep secrets from one another that later come back to bite them in the ass.
Why are you so hell-bent on villainizing me?
There’s banter. Pierce pushes all of Rian’s buttons (which I find annoying, but seems necessary bc she’s wrapped up tighter than a good burrito.) Rian resists. Pierce persists. There’s a lot of real estate transactions.
Because you look like you’re good at breaking hearts and bed frames.
Not a bad read, but I’m in the midst of a promising series and ready to get back there. I’m not sure that real estate romance flicks my Bic.
